Deborah O'Dell is Associate Professor of Biology. She received her doctoral degree in 1985 from The State University of New York at Stony Brook for her studies of iron-containing cells in honey bees. Before coming to MWC in 1992, she completed her post-doctoral study of the development of the insect nervous system at Cambridge University. Dr. ODell's current research interests include cellular events in neural development and learning, and the role of antioxidants in preventing Alzheimer's Disease. Deborah teaches Cell Biology (BIOL 340) Neurobiology (Biol 410), Developmental Biology (Biol 302), Anatomy of Chordates (Biol 301), and Human Biology (BIOL 127)
